Cheap Apartments in Almaty

Saving on accommodation should come from choosing the right layout, not from accepting less. Our most affordable apartments in Almaty are compact one-bedroom flats with air conditioning in the centre, seven minutes on foot from the pedestrian Arbat. Arbat is the walking part of Zhibek Zholy Street, with TSUM on it and the Green Bazaar a block away, so much of the centre can be seen on foot without paying for taxis. These flats are set up with extra beds, so a small family fits into one booking. They stand in a residential complex with a closed, guarded courtyard and convenience stores on site, and the Almaty-2 railway station is 10–15 minutes by transport. Travelling as a family or a group? Then a larger apartment is often the better deal: one booking with separate bedrooms and real beds instead of several hotel rooms.

A low rate means little if the basics cost extra. Our rate already covers bed linen and towels, slippers, toothbrushes, shampoo and shower gel, and a full set of dishes. Every flat has a kitchen with an oven, a hob, a microwave, pots and pans, so you are not paying for every meal in a restaurant, and most also have a washing machine, a smart TV and free Wi-Fi. Some residential complexes have their own parking, which we provide free of charge.

The compact flats near Arbat have a separate bedroom, a kitchen-living room and air conditioning. One sleeps guests on two double beds and a sofa bed, the other on a double bed, a sofa bed and a folding armchair bed. Between guests we spend three to four hours on cleaning, with a full change of linen washed by a professional laundry and disinfected bathrooms. The smallest flat gets the same cleaning standard as our largest apartments.

Summer is high season here. The apartments are in constant demand and discounts do not apply, while outside the summer months there is more choice of free nights. If your plans are flexible, ask the team which nights are open before you fix your tickets. For a trip to the Kolsai lakes and Kaindy, the team can suggest a company that runs affordable tours.

For companies, regular bookings pay off: firms that house staff with us regularly receive a discount, except in summer. Every stay comes with a refundable deposit, which also holds the flat when you book ahead and is returned at check-out if nobody smoked indoors and nothing was damaged. Cancel a week or more before arrival and the deposit comes back in full; after that it is not refunded. Three house rules apply in every apartment: no pets, since the next guests may have allergies, no parties or events, and no smoking inside.
