Apartments near MEGA Alma-Ata

We keep most of our apartments near MEGA Almaty, in residential complexes in the upper part of the city, in Bostandyk district. MEGA Alma-Ata has stood on Rozybakiev Street since 2006, and the neighbourhood around it works like a city within a city: shopping centres, restaurants, pharmacies and clinics are close by, and in our experience the air is cleaner than in the lower part of town. Almaty lies on a slope at the foot of the mountains, so locals say "up" when they mean south, towards the peaks, and "down" for north. The road to Medeu and Shymbulak starts in this part of the city, which makes it a practical base for mountain days as well as for shopping. We keep our larger flats close together here, and our housekeepers and laundry service work in this area, which keeps changeovers smooth.

From most of these flats MEGA Alma-Ata is a five-minute walk, and from one of them it takes two minutes. First President's Park, also known as Remizovka, lies at Al-Farabi Avenue and Navoi Street, about ten minutes away on foot when you feel like a walk, and restaurants and cafés are within walking distance as well.

Everyday shopping is close to home. A Magnum supermarket is either inside the residential complex or a minute away, depending on the building, so bread or water for the morning never means a long trip. For a bigger shop there is Magnum Cash&Carry, three to ten minutes away. Business centres and more shops are nearby too, which helps guests who combine the trip with meetings or whose company has booked the flat for staff. Because our flats stand close together, a large group that does not fit into one can stay in neighbouring apartments.

The complexes have closed, guarded courtyards with no cars inside, and with children's playgrounds and sports areas, and some have gazebos. This is where we keep our larger flats: a two-bedroom flat of 75 m² and three-bedroom apartments of 120–125 m² with two bathrooms. Most of them have designer interiors, and one has air conditioning in every room and windows onto a quiet courtyard rather than the street. Extra sleeping places are real beds, and a sofa bed is an addition rather than a substitute. Some complexes have their own parking, which we provide free of charge.

Check-in is contactless with a personal door code, from 14:00, or from 15:00 for the largest apartments, and check-out is by 12:00. These layouts suit families, large groups and longer stays.
