You may know us from Airbnb, where Brilliant Group has held Superhost status three years running. Airbnb reviews that status every quarter, looking at guest ratings, response times and cancellations, so it reflects how the flats are run from one stay to the next. Here the same team takes bookings directly. These are the people who look after the flats between guests, give every guest a personal door code before arrival, change it after each stay and pick up the phone at night. We started with small flats and moved to larger ones once it became clear how many guests travel as families. Around 70% of our guests now come from abroad, and many guests are regulars who return or recommend us to their friends, colleagues and relatives. Guests flying in from abroad are often met in person: the owner explains the house rules, shows how the door panel works and points out the nearest shops and pharmacies, so the first evening in a new city is easy. We work officially as a registered sole proprietor, which matters when a company is paying. Businesses that book apartments for their staff can sign a contract with us and pay by invoice through Kaspi Pay, and the same paperwork covers monthly stays outside the summer season.

Most of our apartments have a European layout, which means separate bedrooms and a large kitchen-living room. They range from a one-bedroom flat that suits a couple to three-bedroom apartments of 120–125 m² with two bathrooms, where a family or a group of up to ten people can stay together. Extra sleeping places are real beds. A sofa bed is an addition, never a substitute. Some of the residential complexes have their own parking, which we provide free of charge; where there is none, the team helps find a space nearby.

Between guests we set aside three to four hours for cleaning: the linen is changed completely and washed by a professional laundry, and the bathrooms are disinfected. Check-in is from 14:00 (15:00 for the largest apartments), check-out is by 12:00, and the door code works at any hour. The house rules are short: no pets, no parties and no smoking inside.
